EVALUATING THE IMPACT OF POLLUTION AND COMMERCIAL CHALLENGES OF THE KAMVARI RIVER IN BHIWANDI

Abstract

The Kamvari River in Bhiwandi has historically supported trade and industry, but speedy industrialization and urbanization have resulted in significant pollution, limiting its commercial viability. This study will evaluate the river's commercial concerns, identify important environmental and economic issues, and provide long-term remedies. A qualitative and analytical research technique is used, including analyses based on historical records, industrial data, and environmental reports. Pollution, encroachment, and inadequate waste management have all had a substantial impact on the river's role in trade and industry. The study indicates that stringent pollution control, sustainable industrial practices, and restoration activities are critical to restore the Kamvari River's economic worth.
