SELF-IDENTITY: THE CENTRE POINT OF DALIT FEMINISM

Abstract

In 21st century Self-Identity is the basic and desirable demand of all. But in reality, in our society, all debates, disputes, protests, dialects are born from the lack and demand of self-identity. Throughout the world, the most famous social revolution of this century is feminism. The centre point of this feminism is self-identity too. Identity is always tried to be created by the dominant culture. As west has tried to create the identity of the east, elite culture has tried to create the identity of the people of lower stratum, patriarchy has also tried to create the identity of women where women are shown as weak, dependant and creature of inner world.
