Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education is revolutionizing traditional teaching and learning methodologies. This study explores how AI-powered personalized learning addresses Bloom’s 2 Sigma Problem, enabling tailored instruction that enhances student performance. Key applications such as adaptive learning systems, AI for student behaviour monitoring, and specialized support for learners with disabilities demonstrate AI’s potential to individualize education. The chapter also looks at contemporary AI applications in education, like Duolingo, Khanmigo, etc., spotlighting major edtech companies that use AI and exploring the hurdles, such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and ethical problems. This study employs a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model to forecast the global market size and research dynamics of AI in education up to 2030. The model predicts a 34.36% growth in market size and a 26.08% increase in research publications from 2024 to 2030. We try to analyse the impact of AI on education; this chapter underscores its dual role as an enabler of innovation and a driver of ethical debate, providing a comprehensive understanding of the future potential of artificial intelligence in creating inclusive, accessible, and effective learning environments.
