Abstract

Artificial Intelligence is transforming research across disciplines, impacting medicine, environmental science, agriculture, and social sciences (Ekundayo et al., 2024). AI's ability to process and analyze vast datasets accelerates discovery and improves efficiency (Gao, Wang, 2023). This paper examines AI's capabilities, ethical implications, and future trajectory in global research. It draws on the latest literature to highlight AI's role in enhancing medical imaging, streamlining health records, predicting weather events, and optimising resource utilisation. Citation analysis (Donthu et al., 2021; Nicolaisen, 2009; Zhu et al., 2014) reveals the intellectual linkages and impact of publications within the field. The integration of AI into research reshapes science, fosters collaboration, and addresses global issues.
