Abstract

This study explores the pivotal role of gender and peace education in empowering women within conflict zones, emphasizing the transformative potential of education as a tool for social justice and sustainable peace. Women in conflict-affected areas often face compounded challenges, including displacement, gender-based violence, exclusion from peace negotiations, and lack of access to education and leadership opportunities. Integrating gender perspectives into peace education not only addresses these inequities but also fosters inclusive, resilient communities. Drawing from case studies across conflict-impacted regions, this research highlights how tailored educational initiatives—ranging from formal curricula to grassroots workshops—enable women to become active agents of peacebuilding, mediation, and post-conflict reconstruction.
