Abstract

The peaceful state of mind is free from mental agitation, irritation or anxiety. In today’s world it is a challenge for the youth to be free from all sorts of anxiety or tension. Young people have to be channelized to practice a healthy life style which might bring down the stress associated with the problems in life. The stress in life is associated with lot of physical ill-health like gastrointestinal disorders like ulcers and acid reflux disorders. Yoga helps in not only reducing these orders but also enhances peaceful state of mind. Yoga helps us to transform our life style from an unhealthy to healthy one. Yoga is one of the means of manipulating individual’s thoughts. Yoga helps individual to become happy and peaceful and control the rising thoughts of the mind. The yoga is one of the six orthodox systems of Indian philosophy. This study is designed to bring to the forefront the stressbuster effect of yoga in daily life.
