Abstract

Consistent worldwide progress and development can only be ensured when the working forces for development are always in favor of each other. Here comes the role of shared humanity, fraternity, love and empathy towards others to maintain peace and global security. Peace education must be imparted to the pupils from the elementary level, so that they grow as dutiful global citizen without any hindrances at the primary stage of learning. Peace education, being considered as a moral necessity is indeed important as the past teaches us either to prevent its repetition in future or to follow those preceding guiding stars, who showed their concern for international peace keeping. The horrors of both the world wars, the cold war, several genocides, etc. teaches us to take prevention of rise of such incidents, while great personalities like Gandhi, Martin Luther, Nelson Mandela, etc. acts as role model for every generation.
