Abstract

Blockchain technology has emerged as a transformative tool in enhancing transparency, traceability, and security within supply chains. By leveraging decentralized and tamper-resistant ledgers, blockchain facilitates real-time data sharing among stakeholders, enabling accurate tracking of goods from origin to destination. This not only reduces fraud, counterfeiting, and operational inefficiencies but also strengthens consumer trust through verifiable product histories. Moreover, smart contracts automate compliance and enforce contractual obligations, streamlining processes and minimizing disputes. Despite its potential, challenges such as scalability, integration with legacy systems, regulatory concerns, and high implementation costs remain. This paper critically examines the application of blockchain in supply chain management, evaluates case studies across industries, and discusses future directions for wider adoption and technological maturity.
