Abstract

This chapter explores the multifaceted challenges and success factors associated with female entrepreneurship in the 21st century, with particular emphasis on cultural and financial dimensions. Through a mixed-methods approach, the study examines the unique experiences of women in entrepreneurship across diverse social and geographic contexts. It investigates how cultural norms, gender roles, and societal expectations shape entrepreneurial behaviors, influence access to resources, and affect long-term business outcomes. Additionally, it delves into the financial barriers female entrepreneurs face—such as limited access to credit, funding biases, and lack of financial literacy—and identifies opportunities that can support their economic empowerment. By uncovering both the obstacles and adaptive strategies employed by women, this chapter offers practical and culturally sensitive recommendations for policymakers, support organizations, and aspiring female entrepreneurs committed to fostering inclusive and equitable entrepreneurial ecosystems.
