Multilingualism in education has emerged as a significant factor influencing cognitive development and pedagogical practices across diverse learning environments. Research indicates that students who are multilingual often exhibit enhanced cognitive flexibility, metalinguistic awareness, and executive functioning skills compared to monolingual peers. These cognitive advantages support improved problem-solving abilities, creativity, and academic performance. However, integrating multilingualism into educational systems presents numerous pedagogical challenges. Educators must navigate linguistic diversity, address curriculum design limitations, and develop inclusive teaching strategies that support language acquisition without marginalizing minority languages.
