Abstract

The global shift towards remote work, accelerated by technological advancements and the COVID-19 pandemic, has significantly transformed the landscape of Human Resource Management (HRM). This paper explores the strategic adjustments HRM must undertake to effectively manage and engage a geographically dispersed, digitally connected workforce. Key focus areas include remote recruitment and onboarding, digital performance management, employee well-being, virtual training and development, and the evolution of organizational culture in remote settings. The study synthesizes recent literature and industry practices to identify best practices and emerging trends in remote workforce management. The findings underscore the importance of strategic alignment, digital fluency, flexible work policies, and robust communication frameworks to enhance employee engagement and organizational performance. This review contributes to a deeper understanding of how HRM strategies must evolve to support remote work models sustainably and inclusively.
