NATIONAL DAY ADDRESSES: AN INSIGHT INTO THE EVOLUTION OF CONSTRUCT OF HAPPINESS FROM 2006-2024

Abstract

The National Day Address is delivered by the reigning monarch to commemorate the establishment of Monarchy in Bhutan in 1907. The present monarch, His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck, has addressed the nation since 2006. The Addresses provides a unique opportunity to understand how the concept of happiness has evolved since his enthronement in 2006.
