KNOWLEDGE OF SPIRITUALITY IN EDUCATION

Abstract

Spirituality is as unique as personality is unique. It can be religious or non-religious (secular). Its preliminary stage is ‘Intuition’ which brings to mind those brilliant messages from the unknown which are the beginning of higher knowledge (Aurobindo). Spirituality is a unique felling of being connected to oneself, to others and to the universe; in this consciousness is driving force in our life. It can be possible when the divine light reflects in human heart and mirror of the soul. Spirituality is ‘knowing’ and its practical application in life is Spiritual Quotient/Intelligence (SQ/SI) which means ‘doing’. This SQ is combines the Intelligence Quotient and Emotional Quotient (SQ =IQ + EQ).
