The Bhagavad Gita, a timeless Indian scripture, is increasingly attracting the attention of modern psychologists for its deep understanding of human thought, emotion, and behaviour. This article examines the Gita through contemporary psychological lenses, such as cognitive-behavioural, humanistic, psychoanalytic, and transpersonal approaches. It draws connections between Arjuna’s inner turmoil and modern issues like identity confusion, moral dilemma, and decision-making struggles. Krishna’s counsel is viewed as a form of therapeutic dialogue that promotes mindfulness, emotional balance, and a search for meaning. The Gita is shown to offer valuable insights into resilience, motivation, and ethical growth, contributing meaningfully to today’s mental health conversations by integrating indigenous wisdom with modern psychology.Published
