The pressing need to include sustainability into all aspects of contemporary society, including education, is highlighted by the worsening global climate crisis, resource depletion, and environmental deterioration. The importance of green skills in transforming 21st-century educational systems to fulfil the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is examined in this chapter. The knowledge, values, attitudes, and abilities that allow people to live and work sustainably are known as Green Skills, and they are crucial for equipping students to meet the changing needs of a green economy. The chapter explores theoretical frameworks and real-world examples that show how teaching methods, institutional policies, and curricula may all incorporate green competencies. It looks at successful educational reform case studies, global and regional policy initiatives, and new pedagogical strategies like eco-centric curriculum design, interdisciplinary teaching, and experiential learning. Along with providing solutions for successful implementation, the chapter also addresses obstacles to integration, including curriculum overload, resource scarcity, and reluctance to change. In order to produce a generation of responsible, proactive citizens who can handle ecological concerns, it promotes an all-encompassing, comprehensive strategy that links cognitive learning with behavioural and emotional development. The chapter ends with suggestions for promoting sustainable social change and long-term environmental care.Published
