This research paper examines the notion of digital transformation within the realm of human resource management, focusing on the role of emerging technologies in enhancing various HR functions and supporting employees. The study adopts a descriptive approach, utilizing secondary data sources such as corporate reports, online resources, expert blogs, and academic publications. It delves into the concept of "SMACI"—the web of technology—and investigates the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), HR chatbots, machine learning, and robotic process automation (RPA) in optimizing fundamental HR activities, including recruitment, screening, interviewing, and onboarding, thereby making these processes more efficient and effective. Additionally, the research contributes to the existing literature by identifying the diverse tools employed by organizations to advance and develop their HR departments. The paper also addresses the advantages of digital transformation in human resource management, the potential obstacles companies may encounter during this transition, and strategies to mitigate these challenges, illustrated through examples from Indian companies and their innovative practices.Published
