IMPACT OF NEP 2020 ON THE FUTURE OF BIOSYSTEMATICS EDUCATION IN INDIA

Abstract

Biosystematics represents an essential research area within zoology that has experienced changing degrees of interest. Under the National Education Policy 2020 in India, changes are being made to whole academic structures with undergraduate zoology programs as they may restore the study of biosystematics. This part looks at current biosystematics research, current patterns, reasons for decline, and the effects that the NEP thinks will happen in 2020. The paper discusses training initiatives and course design strategies for biosystematics popularity in India. Biodiversity research and educational development receive significant enhancement through the collaborative work of the Barcode of Life Initiative as a demonstrated example.
