Abstract

Bullying and discrimination in schools are quite common in India. It has been found that it exists in both forms i.e., both student to student and teacher to student. Various incidents were reported for the latter and some of them were so grave that it can shatter children’s confidence. Race, caste, gender and even looks are some of the main causes of both bullying as well as discrimination. Though mental and physical abuse is a cause of concern, what turns them into bullies is another important aspect to be looked at. Some of the reasons include the toxic parenting style and environment as well. So, to address bullying we must fix and make people understand how important the environment is. The government should also take necessary measures for the mental health of victims and bullies in schools.
