Abstract

The integration of neuroscience into higher education reform is emerging as a pivotal force in reshaping teaching, learning, and governance. By grounding pedagogy in empirical knowledge about the brain, higher education systems can move beyond traditional instructional models towards adaptive, personalized and ethically responsible frameworks. Advances in cognitive neuroscience reveal how memory consolidation, attention and executive functions shape learning outcomes. The “smart classroom” of the future will likely combine adaptive digital platforms, artificial intelligence, learning analytics and neuroscientific insights for holistic student development. Wearable neuro technologies lead to the improvement in the delivery of lectures and study materials. Future reforms must prioritise professional development programs that improve faculty with accurate neuroscience literacy.
