Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) is a foundational period that establishes lifelong learning, with an emphasis on the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development of young children. In light of the fast pace of digital technology development, early learning spaces are being reshaped and require innovative pedagogical practices that embrace technology in meaningful ways. This chapter discusses the contribution of technology integration and digital pedagogies to ECCE, scrutinizing their potential to improve learning outcomes as well as treat new concerns. Grounded in constructivist, ecological, and multiple intelligences theories, this chapter highlights how digital tools such as storytelling applications, interactive games, blended learning platforms, and assistive technologies—along with emerging innovations like artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR)—can foster creativity, collaboration, and inclusivity in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE). It also examines policy efforts including the National Education Policy (2020), the DIKSHA platform, and digital Anganwadi initiatives that expand access and participation. However, challenges remain regarding equitable access, teacher preparedness, cultural relevance, and data privacy. The chapter argues for a context-sensitive, ethical, and developmentally appropriate use of technology in ECCE, emphasizing those digital tools should enhance rather than replace play-based and child-initiated learning experiences.Published
