Abstract

Gender inequality in education is mountainous problem. Discrimination based on gender is one of the major obstacles to education and it affects both boys and girls. It appears in education with various forms. Gender bias in classroom teaching and learning is one of them. Equality is the principles of Indian Constitution. Discrimination by religion, caste, sex, place of birth or any one of them is strictly prohibited. Gender inequalities, biasness and discrimination in teaching-learning processes are found in most of the institution. In this paper examines the teaching and learning processes. Discuss the reproduce gender inequalities in classroom situation. It also highlights how, girls’ and boys’ learning, and interactions with each others. In this Paper explores the current state of gender equity in classrooms, focusing on the challenges which faced by students of different genders. The importance of addressing the challenges and effective strategies that educators can implement to create equitable learning spaces are discussed in this paper. Teacher bias, curriculum design, student interactions, and the broader socio-cultural factors that shape gender dynamics in schools are discussed carefully. By examining these factors and proposing practical approaches, this paper aims to provide a framework for educators, policymakers, and stakeholders to foster gender equity and improve educational outcomes. It recommends changes needed to ensure that education provision will promote gender equality.
