Abstract

This chapter explores the evolving paradigm of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in education as a strategic framework to bridge gaps in access, quality, infrastructure, and innovation within contemporary educational systems. Positioned at the intersection of policy reform, philosophical imperatives, and practical implementation, PPPs are increasingly shaping how education is delivered, funded, and governed. The chapter critically examines the philosophical underpinnings of PPPs—rooted in neoliberal and social justice discourses—while analyzing policy frameworks and global trends influencing their adoption. The chapter also reflects on the ethical tensions between market logic and public good, offering a nuanced perspective on how PPPs can be reimagined to align with inclusive, sustainable educational development. Ultimately, it argues for a balanced, context-sensitive approach to PPPs that reinforces public values while leveraging private innovation and efficiency.
