Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) are foundational principles for creating just and inclusive educational systems that empower all learners, regardless of their background, identity, or abilities. This chapter, Future Directions for Equity and Inclusion in Education, explores emerging trends, persistent challenges, and innovative strategies to advance EDI in educational practice and policy. It highlights systemic inequities that hinder equitable access to education and the role of culturally responsive teaching in addressing the needs of diverse student populations. The chapter examines the transformative potential of technology in fostering inclusion while cautioning against the digital divide. It underscores the importance of reimagining curriculum and pedagogy to reflect diversity, promote social justice, and prepare learners for a globalized world. Additionally, it emphasizes collaborative leadership and the strengthening of policy frameworks as critical avenues for systemic change. Through an interdisciplinary approach, this chapter offers a roadmap for educators committed to building equitable and inclusive learning environments. It advocates for sustained collaboration and innovation to ensure that education serves as a powerful catalyst for social transformation in an increasingly interconnected and diverse society.Published
