Abstract

In the rapidly evolving landscape of digital education, the fusion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Culturally Responsive Pedagogy (CRP) offers a transformative pathway for fostering inclusive and meaningful learning. This chapter investigates how AI applications such as adaptive learning platforms, intelligent tutoring systems, chatbots, and analytics can support personalized, equitable, and culturally sensitive education while addressing inherent limitations, including algorithmic bias, ethical concerns, and cultural misrepresentation. The chapter emphasizes the critical role of CRP in recognizing students’ diverse cultural identities, promoting inclusivity, equity, and cultural competence, and ensuring impactful learning outcomes. Cross-cultural perspectives highlight the challenges of integrating AI in diverse educational contexts and underscore the necessity for culturally adaptive and contextually relevant AI systems. Opportunities for AI integration include empowering teachers with data-driven insights, supporting multilingual and inclusive learning, fostering global collaborations, and shaping policies that advance equitable educational practices. Ethical considerations, such as the digital divide, data privacy, and teacher preparedness, are discussed to inform responsible AI deployment. Concluding, the chapter advocates a balanced approach that harmonizes technological innovation with cultural responsiveness, enabling education systems to cultivate inclusive, engaging, and socially just learning environments.
