ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN EDUCATION: A TEACHER’S ROLE IN CONTESTATION OR COLLABORATION

Abstract

In contemporary educational scenario Artificial Intelligence has taken a leap and is playing a significant role in all spheres of life. Advances in Science and technology are able to provide automated personal learning experiences at the convenience of the learner. Human teacher and in- person teaching is now facing significant presence of AI within the realms of classrooms ,be it in schools or in higher institutes of learning. At this juncture deliberations and reflections ensues regarding viability of human teachers in modern classroom when set against Artificial Intelligence (AI). This paper looked into available data from literature. It also involved interviews of a small section of teachers. Deliberations of interviewees helped to deduce teaching-learning scenario in future.
