DISABILITY AND INCLUSIVE EDUCATION: BRINGING THE GAP TOWARDS EQUAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

As we know diversity in all forms is the path to greatness, inclusive education aims to provide equitable learning opportunities for all students, including those with disabilities, by fostering and environment that respects diversity and encourages participation. This article explores that relationship between disability and inclusive education, fostering on the essential principles, strategies, and challenges in promoting inclusivity. It discusses the role of teachers, policymakers, and support systems in creating accessible and supportive educational settings. Through a review of current practices, barriers, and success stories, this paper highlights the need for inclusive pedagogies, infrastructure, adaptations, and collaborative efforts to advance education for students with disabilities. The findings suggest that true inclusion requires a systematic commitment from educational institutions, a positive attitude shift within society, and the active involvement of communities to address existing gaps.Published
