Abstract

The concept of social enterprise has emerged as a transformative model that bridges the gap between profit-making and social good, aiming to address complex social and environmental challenges through entrepreneurial approaches. However, one of the most persistent challenges faced by social enterprises is the measurement of social impact—the extent to which their activities produce tangible, meaningful, and sustainable changes in society. This research article, “Measuring Social Impact: Metrics for Evaluating Social Enterprises,” explores diverse frameworks, methodologies, and indicators used to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of social enterprises in achieving their mission-driven objectives. It examines how impact measurement not only validates social performance but also enhances transparency, accountability, and investor confidence.
