Integration and mainstreaming of students with visual impairment in higher education involves creating an inclusive environment that provides equal opportunities for academic and social participation. This can be achieved by implementing accessible infrastructure, assistive technologies, and supportive services. By promoting inclusive practices, educational institutions can empower students with visual impairment to excel academically, build confidence, and develop skills essential for their future careers, ultimately fostering a more diverse and equitable society. Education in the post-secondary level is a predictor of gainful employment in meaningful occupations, opening opportunities for career development, hence for quality of life. Inclusivity is about making everyone’s life “normal”, regular and mainstream. There are many areas of improvement which institutions of higher education can adapt for enhancing the education experience for students with special needs. This study aims to find out how far this facilities are available in the under graduate degree colleges and also suggestions for successful inclusion.Published
