Abstract

Human flourishing represents the holistic realization of one’s intellectual, emotional, moral, and spiritual potential. It extends beyond mere happiness to encompass meaning, virtue, and coherence in life. This chapter explores mind–self integration as the core mechanism of flourishing, where cognition, emotion, and values align harmoniously. Drawing from Aristotle’s concept of eudaimonia, Seligman’s PERMA model, Self-Determination Theory, and contemporary neuroscience, the discussion highlights how integration fosters autonomy, competence, and relatedness. The state of flow illustrates experiential integration, while mindfulness and reflective practices strengthen internal coherence. Educational, therapeutic, and spiritual perspectives reveal that mind–self integration nurtures authenticity, well-being, and moral wholeness. Ultimately, flourishing arises when individuals live in harmony with their inner values and external actions, contributing to both personal and collective growth.
