DELHI G-20 SUMMIT AND ENVIRONMENTAL AGREEMENT

Abstract

In the year 2023, G20 summit organized by the India in Delhi under the presidentship of Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi Ji. It was a great achievement of our government as well as the pride moment for every Indian citizen. In this summit with other agenda main theme was the global warming, climate change and sustainable development. The world leaders accepted most of the proposals given by the govt of India to protect our mother nature. So this paper will discuss about the various agreement signed by the world leaders with special reference to environment. Environment is the major concern for the whole world. Global warming, climate change, environmental issues creating havoc loss to humanity. According to World Health Organisation, near about 6.7 million people die prematurely only due to air pollutions. If we include flood, drought or environment related problem, the number will be very high. The main theme of the G20 summit was chosen ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’ and also adopted the concept of ‘Vasudev Kutumbkam’ or the World is one family.
