Abstract

This paper investigates the views on near-death experiences and afterlife of theistic and atheistic schools of Indian philosophy. This study speaks about the Yoga and Vedanta which comes under theistic. On the other hand Buddhism, Jainism and Charvaka philosophy fall in atheistic school of Indian philosophy. A qualitative method was adopted for this study. The research questions were analyzed by systematic-review design approach. This study indicated that how spirituality, study of spirit or soul by Yoga, Vedanta, Buddhism and Jainism influenced in Indian philosophy as well as learning process in modern education system. Moreover, this study strengthens the philosophical doctrine especially in the field of education.
