Abstract

Spiritual education plays a pivotal role in nurturing the holistic development of students by fostering moral values, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence. Teachers are central to this process, acting not only as educators but also as moral guides, role models, and facilitators of ethical and spiritual growth. This paper explores the role of teachers in imparting values through spiritual education, emphasizing strategies such as curriculum integration, reflective practices, and creating value-oriented classroom environments. It also highlights the challenges teachers face, including time constraints, lack of training, and the distinction between spiritual and religious education, and suggests measures to strengthen their capacity to deliver value-based education. By fostering empathy, discipline, and moral reasoning, teachers contribute to shaping responsible, compassionate, and socially aware individuals. The study underscores that spiritual education is essential for cultivating ethical citizens capable of contributing to a harmonious and sustainable society.
