GAUGING STUDENT TEACHERS' PSYCHOLOGICAL WELLBEING AND COPING STRATEGIES: AN EXPLORATORY ANALYSIS

Teachers' psychological wellbeing influence their teaching quality, student engagement and classroom environment. Student teachers who prioritize the psychological wellbeing are more likely to be a model for healthy behavior for their future students. Developing coping strategies and resilience to manage stress and anxiety. The study aimed at assessing the psychological wellbeing of the student teachers .The study used survey technique and stratified sampling technique with educational qualification, discipline and locality. For data analysis, descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation were used. For inferential analysis, 't' test and chi-square were employed. The study revealed that 47.3 % of the student teachers are at the elevated level of Psychological wellbeing. Student teachers are impartial in Psychological wellbeing based on their educational qualification, discipline and locality. The study recommended that incorporating wellbeing education, fostering supportive environment and ensuring access to resources, support systems and professional development opportunities.Published
