In an era marked by rapid technological advancement and escalating psychological stress, sustainable well-being has emerged as a vital pursuit. This paper positions mindfulness not merely as a therapeutic tool but as a fundamental life skill essential for enhancing the quality of life. Moving beyond symptom reduction, it highlights the transformative role of mindfulness—defined as purposeful, present-moment, and non-judgmental awareness—in fostering enduring mental well-being. The discussion develops a conceptual framework illustrating how mindfulness strengthens key psychological foundations such as attention regulation, emotional balance, and resilience. Drawing on neuroplasticity research, evidence shows structural and functional changes in the prefrontal cortex and anterior cingulate following mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs). Psychometric studies further reveal strong correlations between dispositional mindfulness and psychological well-being. Despite limitations like self-report bias and causal ambiguity, findings affirm mindfulness as a transdiagnostic mechanism that fortifies core mental resources. The paper concludes by advocating a paradigm shift in public health—integrating secular mindfulness education into schools and workplaces to proactively cultivate holistic human flourishing.Published
