Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the agricultural landscape by facilitating data-driven and precision-based approaches. Among the critical stages of crop production, sowing plays a foundational role in influencing overall yield and productivity. This paper presents a focused review of the applications of AI in optimizing sowing operations. By leveraging AI in conjunction with sensor networks, robotics, satellite imagery, and machine learning algorithms, modern farming systems can achieve accurate seed placement, optimal depth and spacing and appropriate sowing schedules. The paper also explores current challenges, emerging innovations, and future research directions aimed at enhancing the efficiency, sustainability and scalability of AI-driven sowing practices.Published
