Abstract

Supply chain efficiency has become a decisive factor in determining organizational competitiveness and sustainability in a world where globalization is a reality, markets are volatile and customer expectations are rising. The use of traditional methods of supply chain management, which rely mostly on historical data analysis and human judgment, are not always able to effectively address the uncertainty of demand and logistics disruptions and multi-tiered networks. The fast development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, especially machine learning, deep learning, and predictive analytics, have provided new opportunities to increase the accuracy of the forecast, improve the logistics operation and decision-making process of supply chain functions.
