The 21st century has been characterized by an alarming increase in mental issues across the globe that has been enhanced by urbanization, technology, socio-economic stress among global crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. Mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders are very problematic to individuals, families and healthcare systems.
