Abstract

Students with intellectual disabilities (ID) faces educational challenges that require adaptive, inclusive, and evidence-based teaching practices. This article observes new literature on creative teaching and learning practices that aim to improve academic, social, and life skills in students with intellectual disabilities. The focus is on Universal Design for Learning (UDL), student-directed learning, assistive and digital technology, and multimodal instructional interventions. Multiple studies have found that inclusive contexts, teacher training, and technology integration are critical for producing meaningful learning outcomes and promoting equal participation in education. The assessment continues by identifying best practices and future directions for creating responsive, inclusive educational settings that empower students with intellectual disabilities.
