College life represents a crucial transition from adolescence to adulthood, marked by academic demands, social changes and new responsibilities that shape personal identity and future goals. While this phase offers opportunities for intellectual growth and independence, it also presents significant psychological challenges. Stress, anxiety and depression are increasingly common among college students, often stemming from academic pressure, financial difficulties, peer influence, family expectations and uncertainty about career prospects. These factors can negatively impact concentration, motivation, relationships and overall well-being. This chapter examines the complex nature of stress, anxiety and depression among college students, exploring their causes, symptoms and consequences on mental and academic health. It highlights the interaction between personal vulnerabilities and environmental stressors, emphasizing the importance of institutional support, social connections and healthy coping mechanisms. The discussion further outlines preventive strategies such as mindfulness, counselling, peer networks and resilience-building to foster emotional well-being and academic success.Published
