Abstract

The post-pandemic period challenged educational institutions to navigate emotional recovery, organizational uncertainty, and shifting teaching–learning expectations. This thematic paper examines how crisis leadership shaped the emotional climate of schools, colleges, and universities after COVID-19. Drawing insights from documented institutional experiences, leader narratives, and post-crisis behaviour patterns, the study identifies themes related to transparent communication, empathetic leadership, emotional safety, and shared decision-making. A conceptual framework is proposed to illustrate how leadership responses directly influence emotional climates and institutional resilience. The findings underscore the need for emotionally intelligent leadership, continuous communication, and supportive organizational structures to sustain positive climates during future crises.
