Abstract

The Cognitive Era, driven by digitalization, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, is fundamentally transforming managerial roles. Traditional competencies are no longer sufficient, as managers must evolve into hybrid leaders who balance technological expertise with human-centric values. This chapter explores the importance of reskilling and upskilling as strategic imperatives to prepare managers for continuous disruption. It examines key competencies, organizational strategies, barriers, and global best practices that shape managerial development. Finally, it highlights the emergence of the “Cognitive Leader”—a visionary capable of navigating complexity by integrating machine intelligence with human creativity and ethical judgment.
