Transportation and warehousing are vital components of logistics, ensuring efficient movement and storage of goods within supply chains. Transportation links markets and supports timely distribution, while warehousing provides organized storage, facilitates order fulfillment, and balances demand fluctuations. Together, they enhance customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness. This study examines the financial performance of transportation and warehousing enterprises with special reference to Vadakkekarayil Transports, Kurumalloor, Kottayam, a unit engaged in the distribution of cement and cattle feed. The firm, owned and managed by women entrepreneur Smt. Deepa Sajikumar, represents a small-scale business contributing to local logistics and trade. As finance is the lifeblood of business, the study evaluates how effectively resources are planned, mobilized, and managed to ensure profitability and sustainability. The findings provide insights into the financial health of the enterprise and highlight the role of transportation and warehousing businesses in regional economic development.Published
