In the context of India’s rapidly evolving financial ecosystem, Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) face a unique convergence of sectoral, regulatory, and digital-age pressures that significantly impact employee engagement and organisational well-being. To investigate how workplace stress caused by digital workloads, performance expectations, and the level of compliance affects engagement and well-being outcomes in NBFCs, this chapter uses a thematic and conceptual approach. Three fundamental constructs workplace stress, employee engagement, and organizational well-being as well as moderating factors like trust, fairness, leadership, and digital preparedness are investigated using secondary data from RBI reports, BRSR disclosures, and peer-reviewed literature. A conceptual framework is proposed, placing employee involvement as a buffer that mitigates the detrimental consequences of digital transformation-induced stress. Sectoral examples from Bajaj Finserv and Shriram Finance highlight practical uses, such as structured well-being budgeting, Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), and job redesign using the JD-R paradigm. The chapter introduces the FIR (Framework for Integrating Research), stressing evidence-based, human-centric techniques to sustain workforce motivation and resilience. Well-being and engagement are positioned as key success factors for NBFCs' long-term digital transformation.Published
