Abstract

Collaborative learning (CL) has emerged as a significant pedagogical strategy in pharmacy education, emphasizing teamwork, critical thinking, and shared responsibility in the learning process. As the role of pharmacists increasingly involves patient-centered care and interprofessional collaboration, it is essential to equip students with not only technical knowledge but also communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. This article explores the integration of collaborative learning into pharmacy curricula, highlighting various models such as team-based learning (TBL), case-based learning (CBL), peer teaching, and interprofessional education (IPE). The benefits of CL, including improved academic performance, increased student engagement, and the development of professional competencies, are discussed. Additionally, challenges such as unequal group contributions, time constraints, and assessment complexities are addressed. By incorporating collaborative learning, pharmacy education can better prepare students for the dynamic and interdisciplinary nature of modern healthcare environments, ultimately enhancing their ability to work effectively in diverse healthcare teams and provide optimal patient care.
