This chapter explores the often-overlooked relationship between child labour and environmental degradation. Child labour, particularly in developing regions, contributes to environmental harm through various sectors such as agriculture, mining, and manufacturing. This chapter examines the mechanisms by which child labour exacerbates environmental issues, the socio-economic factors that sustain these practices, and the global efforts aimed at addressing both child labour and environmental conservation. The analysis highlights the need for integrated approaches that consider the environmental implications of child labour and advocate for sustainable and ethical labour practices.Published
