The rapid integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into various sectors has transformed economic, environmental, and educational paradigms. Green ICT, a sustainable approach to using ICT for reducing environmental impacts, has gained global significance. This study examines the awareness of Green ICT among female undergraduate students in the port region of Kolkata, India, employing a descriptive survey research design with 60 participants selected through random sampling. Data was collected using a validated self-made questionnaire and unstructured interviews. The results indicate that most respondents are aware of ICT's role in sustainable development and its environmental impacts. However, knowledge gaps persist in areas like e-waste management and practices to minimize carbon emissions. Findings highlight the need for targeted educational initiatives, such as workshops and seminars, to foster deeper understanding and responsible use of ICT. Stakeholders in higher education must actively promote digital literacy and sustainable ICT practices.Published
