Abstract

In the 21st century, education is not limited to academic excellence alone but must include the development of moral and ethical values. With the rapid advancement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), teacher education—especially in private B.Ed. colleges—faces both an opportunity and a responsibility to integrate digital tools into value-based education. This paper explores how ICT can be effectively utilized to promote values such as empathy, honesty, tolerance, and integrity among teacher trainees. It examines various tools, strategies, benefits, and challenges associated with the digital transformation of moral education. The write-up emphasizes that a thoughtful blend of technology and traditional pedagogies can cultivate emotionally intelligent, ethically aware, and socially responsible future educators. The write-up also identifies the challenges in digital moral pedagogy, including screen fatigue, ethical misuse, and lack of trained facilitators. It concludes with recommendations for embedding ICT-based value education into mainstream curricula, ensuring that learners are not just technologically competent but also morally grounded.
