Teachers have a vital role in promoting ideals that create responsible, compassionate, and socially conscious citizens in a time of rapid technology advancement, cultural variety, and difficult moral conundrums. As a result, it is now crucial for teacher education programs to prepare aspiring educators for value-based teaching. In order to provide teachers in training the abilities, attitudes, and reflective capacities required to integrate values into their instruction, this study examines methods, obstacles, and opportunities. Based on constructivist methods, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and modern teacher preparation models, the study investigates the ways in which learning through experience, theoretical foundations, and extracurricular pursuits support the development of values. It underscores how critical it is to utilize ICT tools, mentorship, and reflective practice to advance value education in diverse classrooms. A special emphasis is placed on the role that teacher educators play as role models and on institutional efforts that foster an environment of honesty, diversity, and compassion on campus. The main recommendations center on implementing frameworks for continuing professional development, encouraging multidisciplinary collaborations, and including value-based courses into B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. curricula. Teacher education can contribute to the development of a generation of students who are not just knowledgeable but also possess the moral compass necessary to navigate an increasingly complex world through teaching future educators to strike a balance between academic rigor and ethical behavior.Published
