The term emotional Intelligence was first coined in 1990 by researchers John Mayer and Peter Salovey but it was later popularized by psychologist Daniel Goleman. Emotional intelligence is defined as the capacity to be aware of, control and express one’s emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically. Emotions are natural and healthy. Human life would be dry without emotions. Emotional intelligence is managing feelings in order to enhance performance and, in turn, assisting people to live calmly and to think logically so one can set up proper relationships and achieve dreams. Developing an atmosphere of balanced emotional intelligence in the place of work can substantially improve the personal and social abilities of people. In the current era of digitalization, emotional Intelligence (EI) has emerged as a vital determinant of success in education and professional environments, influencing communication, collaboration, and leadership. With the increasing integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in daily life, digital tools offer innovative avenues for developing EI competencies. This paper examines how technology-driven solutions—such as virtual reality simulations, AI-powered emotional analytics, gamified learning modules, and collaborative online platforms—can enhance self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, motivation, and social skills.Published
