CO-CURRICULUR ACTIVITIES OF EDUCATION TO ENHANCE REALIZATION OF SOCIAL VALUE

Abstract

In order to study about the co-curricular activities of education to enhance realization of social value, at first, we have to clarify the concept of education and its curricular and co-curricular activities. Education the word, came from the Latin word, ‘Educatum’ meaning ‘the act of teaching or training’. There is another Latin word, ‘Educare’ meaning ‘to educate’. To bring up, ‘to raise’. There is still another Latin word ‘Educere’ meaning to ‘bring out’ or ‘to lead out’. Thus, education means the act of training, bringing up and leading out.
